#HOW TO GET ONE STAR ON PS4 MUDRUNNER SERIES#
Once you clear Spintires’ simple tutorial, you’re coaxed into trying out a series of missions. Take the game’s opening Challenge mode as a good example. It turns something as simple as escaping a puddle into an unexpectedly engrossing mixture of careful adjustment and gradual momentum. Driving a lorry and need to get up a muddy hill that’s turned into a bog? Better fire your winch and pull yourself up while steadily putting on the revs. Want to traverse a particularly rocky trail with your 4x4? Better take off your handbrake, enable all-wheel drive and lock your differentials so every wheel is turning together to stop your vehicle from tipping over and out of control. Your vehicle – there are 30 to collect and drive, ranging from pickup trucks to massive rigs – doesn’t slide about like a postman on black ice, but moves and reacts just like a real motor. Spintires isn’t a glamorous experience, but it’s one that turns something as simple as navigating a slushy hole in the road into a tense and nail-biting experience. This completes the last mission in the game. Now, we know on paper the idea of driving a truck along a muddy track, delivering logs from forest to lumber mill might sound dull, but that’s because you haven’t actually tried it. Leave the sand road and tiled ground and head straight to the lumber mill. Watch out for stones and boggy terrain before you reach asphalt roads. The south part of the map isn't as challenging. Follow the blue path again so you can return on the starting island without any problems.

You can also leave a full cistern near the log station - your vehicle can refuel before you cross the river. Change your vehicle and remember to refuel because D-535/K-700/E-7310 consume a lot of fuel. When you are half-way, you can go north and unlock E-7310. Follow the orange path to reach the garage quickly. Better vehicles from Class C also shouldn't have problems with dealing with muddy roads that are between the garage and the log station. This path is the shortest and the easiest way to cross the river.ĭriving in Class D and E vehicles isn't challenging here.
Then, head to the second island and then turn towards the shore. The depth should be optimal for the most part. Drive into the water near the tower and head to the nearest island. The best way is to move straight to the watch point located on the shore of the southern island. In other places you can drive on stones that can block your wheels or make you unable to drive forward because of a terrain difference. Its bottom is very deep in many places which means that you can quickly damage and destroy your engine. The key to success on this map is do cross the river. You should get that vehicle because it will make this map easier for you. Its location is the small buildings between the log station and the garage in the north-central part of the map (a green exclamation mark icon). Also, there is E-7310 on the map which can deal with all kinds of terrains. It can carry 3 log points on its add-on and tow a trailer with 3 log points. You definitely have to choose D-535 because it is a perfect vehicle for an environment like that. There is no point in using Class A vehicles because they won't be able to deal with the river's current. Each is worth two garage points which means that one vehicle with a trailer or a convoy made out of two trucks should reach the garage. As a consolation, you have to deliver timber to only one lumber mill and the log station is rather close to you, although you still have to cross the river.Īlthough you start without an access to a garage, your vehicles are automatically equipped with add-ons with garage points and you can use two trailers. What is more, your starting position is right next to a lumber mill but you don't have access to a garage! You have to unlock it the garage is on the opposite end of the map. The entire map consists of one giant lake and a swamp. Deluge is the most challenging map out of all currently available scenarios.
